This law was named after Sam Martinez, a freshman student from Washington State University who as a new member died from alcohol poisoning in 2019. Sam's Law requires fraternities and sororities at Washington universities to provide notice of the previous five years of violations of anti-hazing policies, state or federal laws relating to hazing, alcohol, drugs, sexual assault, physical assault, or the institution's code of conduct against the local chapter on their websites. In compliance with Sam’s Law, we are proud to say that our chapter has had zero violations in the past five years. Alpha Delta Pi stands firmly against hazing and in firm support of this law.
